Greenhead College has been named "State Sixth Form College of the Year for 2014" by the Sunday Times. This follows similar successes in 2013 and 2012 for Hills Road College and Winstanley College. All 3 are members of the Maple Group

So a Maple Group member college has been named college of the year for 3 years running: a hat-trick of success!

Unfortunately, because the Sunday Times requires a subscription, we cannot give a link here to access the full story, but a delighted Anton McGrath, principal of Greenhead, said, "We have a college mantra: all to be valued", and stressed the importance of working with students as individuals.

The renowned A Level Performance System (ALPS) for measuring 'value-added' performance was developed at Greenhead some 15 years ago. It has been a significant factor in the success of not just Greenhead, but of many other colleges and school sixth forms since, and is widely used within Maple Group member colleges.
