Students and staff launched their 9th annual HR4.5 Fun Run on 9 March. To date, this event has raised £75,500!

This year’s fun run is being held on Wednesday 13th April and is once again being sponsored by ARM.

Nicki Dartnell, teacher at the College and one of the organisers said, “This year we are hoping to raise £10,000 and thanks to our sponsors ARM, all the money raised will go to Teenage Cancer Trust.”

ARM’s Corporate Responsibility Manager, Simon Humphrey said, “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s HR4.5, the funds raised by Hills Road students and staff will be going to a worthwhile charity.”

Around 500 students and staff will be wearing t-shirts displaying this year’s logo, which has been designed by Hills Road student Holly Rowland, 18.

Look out for runners and cyclists in their brightly coloured t-shirts when they will be running, walking, hopping and skipping the 4.5 kilometre route along Hills Road, Luard Road and Sedley Taylor Road, out onto Long Road, along the Hobson’s Brook footpath, down Brooklands Avenue and then back out onto Hills Road.

The cyclists will take a 45 kilometre route starting out from the College, passing through the Shelfords, Newton, Fowlmere, Ickleton, Duxford and Whittlesford, returning to the College. Judith Anderson from Teenage Cancer Trust said, "We are honoured that Hills Road have supported our charity this year."
